Village Hotel Bury

Reasonable hotel on the edge of Bury, easily accessible by motorway. Rooms were clean but a little tired in places, can’t speak for service as we only interacted with self check in and self check out. Starbucks on site and parking is free on weekends.

Had a meal here for Christmas office get together. My food was amazing and everyone else's looked delicious. Good range of drinks. Staff were really helpful. Plenty free parking for a number of hours.

12 of us travelled from London to celebrate the new year with family living in Bury. We stayed at the hotel from the 30/12/25 until the 02/01/26 and had the most wonderful time. A special thank you to Maxine on reception who couldn't do enough for us and Claire in housekeeping who worked around our lazy morning lie ins. Also a big shout out to Tony and faith in the pub & Grill who kept us all well fed and watered. A definite 10 out of 10 venue. Thank you so much x

Stayed at this hotel in Bury and honestly couldn’t fault a thing. From the moment I arrived, the customer service was top-notch — friendly, genuine, and really down to earth. The receptionist especially stood out , gorgeous lady with curly brown hair, such a shame I didn’t catch her name! She made check-in feel really welcoming and relaxed, I could chat to her all day. The food was absolutely amazing — fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. Everything about my stay was spot on. Can’t wait to come back again soon!

Great place in excellent location. Superb fitness centre and pool. Easy access and parking. Cozy modern bedroom. Wide choice of breakfast.

The Village Hotel Bury is a well-rounded stay that often impresses guests with its mix of comfortable rooms, good service and excellent facilities. Located conveniently just off the M66 motorway on Rochdale Road, it’s an easy choice for both business travellers and weekend breaks. The hotel’s standout features are its health and leisure club, including a heated indoor pool, sauna, steam room and gym, which many guests praise for being clean, spacious and well-maintained. The addition of a whirlpool spa and wellness areas adds real value for anyone wanting to unwind after travelling or meetings.  Rooms are generally described as spacious and comfortable, with big beds, good Wi-Fi and ample parking on site. Many visitors note the staff are friendly and helpful, especially at reception and in the Pub & Grill restaurant. Some guests feel the décor is a bit dated in places, and a few recent reviews mention inconsistent service — particularly during busy evenings — and extra charges for parking or facilities like the pool club if not included in the room rate. A handful of visitors also comment that food quality can vary and breakfast, while ample, isn’t exceptional.  Overall, Village Hotel Bury scores high for value, location and leisure offerings, making it a solid choice if you prioritise amenities and comfort over luxury.

I met a friend for a catch up and sat on the couches to the left of reception near the stairs to the gym. It was quiet enough for us to speak and even when a small group of adults sat on the couch behind us, we could speak without raising our voices. It was very comfortable and we were able to get coffee's from the onsite Starbucks and bring them over to our seating. Very friendly staff, suitable for our meeting and pleasant environment.

We held a charity event (october 2025) The team did amazing they went above and beyond to accommodate us. Especially Kayleigh who was leading the event. The food was lovely and the table service great - Especially as the running of the evening delayed things slightly. The DJ also complimented how accommodating Kayleigh was with everything- she held the fort well, especially as we knew she had a fair few new staff to manage. Sophie was the coordinator piror to the event, she was in constant contact via emaol and responded quickly to any questions i may have had. I appreciated all the work and efforts on the run up to the event as this definitely made the planning alot easier.
